- Peel the shrimp and remove the intestines. Season with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil.
- Carefully cut 4 strips lengthways from a cinnamon stick.
- Make a narrow cut through the shrimp with a sharp knife and stick the cinnamon wedges through.
- Fry both sides in the hot butter for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour a suitable soup (e.g. parsley root soup) into a glass and place the cinnamon stick with the shrimp over the edge.
