Roast the hazelnuts or pecans in a pan until golden brown, leave to cool a little. Knead the flour, margarine, 50 g powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, salt and hazelnuts with the dough hook of the hand mixer, leave to rest for about 10 minutes at room temperature.
Roll out the dough thinly, cut out stars, place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C (top / bottom heat, convection: 180 ° C) for about 10 minutes. Let cool down.
For the topping, stir 100 g of powdered sugar with the remaining cinnamon and 3 tablespoons of water until smooth. Dip the stars halfway into the icing and let them dry on a wire rack.
Instead of the cinnamon glaze, the stars can also be coated with a chocolate glaze mixed with a little cinnamon.
