- 40 g hazelnuts or pecans, round
- 200 g flour
- 150 g mararine
- 150 g powdered suar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon powder

- Roast the hazelnuts or pecans in a pan until golden brown, leave to cool a little. Knead the flour, margarine, 50 g powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, salt and hazelnuts with the dough hook of the hand mixer, leave to rest for about 10 minutes at room temperature.
- Roll out the dough thinly, cut out stars, place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C (top / bottom heat, convection: 180 ° C) for about 10 minutes. Let cool down.
- For the topping, stir 100 g of powdered sugar with the remaining cinnamon and 3 tablespoons of water until smooth. Dip the stars halfway into the icing and let them dry on a wire rack.
- Instead of the cinnamon glaze, the stars can also be coated with a chocolate glaze mixed with a little cinnamon.
