Mix the sifted flour with the baking powder, salt and sugar. Mix in the eggs and milk with a whisk, then add the melted butter and stir again. Finally fold in the coconut flakes.
Grease a loaf pan, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and pour in the dough.
Bake on the middle rack for about 45 minutes.
Loosen the edges with a knife, turn them out onto a wire rack and let cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then the cake can easily be removed from the tin.
