Mix the onion pieces well with the drained corn in a bowl. Sprinkle the ingredients with the chives.
For the dressing, whip the cream with the vinegar, mustard, garlic and mayonnaise until frothy. Season to taste with sugar, salt and a little pepper. Now pour everything over the salad ingredients and mix well. Let it soak in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes and season again briefly to taste.
