Clean the white cabbage, cut into eighths and cut into strips. Dice the bacon and leave it in the clarified butter, remove from the pan.
Then fry the diced onion in the fat, add the cabbage, sweat and season with pepper and turmeric. Deglaze with the stock and cream. Let simmer for 15 minutes.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Scatter the bacon and chives over the top. Tastes great as a side dish to roast pork or just with potatoes.
