Work the minced meat with the onion, an egg, the grated cheese and the spices into a smooth meat batter. Shape it into 3 cm thick and 7 cm long rolls. Turn this in a little flour, a beaten egg and breadcrumbs. Fry in hot oil.
The croquettes go well with many warm side dishes (e.g. mashed potatoes, rice from the pan), as well as with baguettes and salads.
