Wash the cucumbers or garden cucumbers, cut lengthways, remove the seeds with a spoon, cut into pieces. Clean the spring onions and cut into thin rings. Dice the ham.
Sweat the onions in the butter, add the ham cubes and sweat them too. Nothing should be brown. Top up with the sweet cream, season with salt and pepper, add the cucumber pieces and bring to the boil once. Season again to taste and sprinkle with the chopped dill.
