Wash the cucumber, peel if necessary, cut lengthways through the middle and then cut into thin slices. Cut the shallot into small pieces.
Put all the ingredients for the dressing in a bowl and stir well until you can no longer see any lumps. Add the cucumber, pepper and salt and season the salad to taste.
Let the salad rest in the refrigerator for approx. 10-20 minutes so that the full taste is developed.
