Thaw frozen currants first. Finely dice the onions and garlic.
Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onions and garlic in it. Then add tomato paste and currants and roast them. Add honey, white wine vinegar and soy sauce and mix well. Remove from heat and stir in spices and ketchup. If necessary, season with salt.
Goes very well with meat, fondue, raclette or cheese.
