Instructions

  1. Core the dates and layer them in a boiled glass. Divide the vanilla pod, slice it open, then insert it between the dates. Sprinkle the sugar over it and pour the white rum over it.
  2. Close the jar and shake a little so that the contents mix well. Let the dates steep for about 2 weeks at room temperature - during this time, shake them again and again so that the sugar dissolves.
  3. Shelf life: 4 - 6 weeks
  4. The rum dates taste great with tea, ice cream or in fruit salads.
