Instructions

  1. Wash the raisins with warm water, drain and place in a terrine with the brandy.
  2. You dissolve the rock candy in very little water and add it when it is cold, stir everything very well and close the terrine with the lid.
  3. After 3 days, when the raisins are soaked, you can serve the bean soup. (Better only after 1 week !!)
  4. In East Friesland there is this drink on the occasion of the birth of a child Kinnertön.
  5. It is served in Branntwienkopkes. These are teacups without a handle, with a small teaspoon. If you don`t have cups, this wonderfully tasty drink is served in glasses with spoons.
  6. Also tastes good topped up with sparkling wine.
  7. You should also bake an East Frisian cake, where this bean soup is also needed.
