Instructions

  1. It is best to collect the dandelion blossoms at noon, when the sun is shining properly, and they will be in full bloom!
  2. Put the flowers in a pot and cover with 1 liter of water, put the lid on and let it stand for 2 hours. Then bring to the boil briefly and slowly cool down again. Let it steep overnight with the lemon wedges.
  3. The next morning, filter out the flowers and briefly (!) Bring the juice - which should be dark brown by now - to the boil with sugar and then let it simmer in front of you. It can take a few hours for the strings to pull. Exactly how long varies, I don`t know why either!
  4. To check the consistency, just put a small blob on a plate and let cool. Tastes delicious on freshly baked bread!
  5. So let the blossoms with the sliced lemon steep overnight and when you filter out the blossoms (and the lemon slices), boil the juice with sugar!
