Heat the oat flakes with the milk and poppy seeds in a small saucepan on the highest level. Stir often, otherwise the porridge will burn. When the porridge starts to boil, turn the stove down to a low level and leave it on the stove, stirring constantly, until the porridge has reached the desired consistency. This takes about 10 minutes.
Then take the pot off the heat, fill the porridge in a bowl and serve with a little poppy seeds and honey if you like.
