Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they are very stiff, then set aside.
Beat the butter with sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy, add the egg yolks and beat a little more.
Add flour, baking powder, cream and milk and stir to a smooth batter. Carefully fold in the egg whites.
Roughly chop the chocolate and fold in as well.
The waffle iron does not need to be greased (if it has a non-stick coating) as there is enough fat in the batter.
You don`t need cherries or cream because the waffles themselves are super tasty. A nice icing sugar on it and a delicious milk coffee with it, is enough for 3 servings.
