- Chop the fennel into large pieces and set aside. Chop the walnuts a little.
- Caramelize the sugar in a pan, add the walnuts and fennel and let it caramelize briefly.
- Then deglaze everything with cream. Pepper and salt. Put a lid on it and let it stand on a low level for about 10 minutes.
- The whole thing tastes super delicious with mashed potatoes.
