Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the meat. Cut into 1.5-2 cm pieces.
  2. Peel the onion and slice into thin rings or half rings. Peel the carrots and cut into thin strips.
  3. Heat a cauldron and pour in the vegetable oil. Fry the onion over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until golden.
  4. Add the meat, season with salt and stir. Sear over high heat for 4-5 minutes. Add the spices, mix, cover and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Spread the carrots evenly over the meat. Slowly pour in 1 cup of cold water without breaking the carrot layer. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Rinse the rice in cold water 5-6 times until the water runs clear.
  7. Spread the rice in an even layer over the carrots. Pour boiling water until it stands 2 cm above the rice. Press the garlic cloves into the rice. Cover and cook over the lowest heat for about 30 minutes without opening the lid.
  8. Stir the pilaf, remove from heat and leave covered for 20 minutes before serving.
