Instructions

  1. Halve the eggs lengthways, loosen the yolks and mash them with a fork. Then stir the egg yolks with mayo, mustard, ketchup, Tabasco and lemon juice until smooth. Season to taste with salt, pepper and cayenne and fill the egg white halves with a piping bag and garnish with a little dill. Arrange on a lettuce leaf and serve with warm, diagonally halved toast.
  2. This is the Swedish version of the eggs, which in this country can often be found garnished with caviar. They are ideal not only as a small starter, but also for a buffet.
