Knead the ingredients from flour to salt into a smooth dough and then chill for about 1 hour.
Roll out the dough on a board and cut out circles or flowers or any shapes. Cut out a small circle in half of the biscuits. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees Celsius for about 12-15 minutes.
Brush with jam when cold and put a perforated biscuit on top, dust with icing sugar or cocoa powder. Store cookies in a tin lined with aluminum foil.
