Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a larger pan.
  2. In the meantime, peel the ripe bananas, cut in half and cut again lengthways. So that you have four halves per banana.
  3. Once the butter has melted, stir in the sugar and add the bananas. Turn these over once so that they are covered with the butter / sugar mixture. Now stir in on the stove top on a medium heat, let everything caramelize. Some of the bananas also break apart a little. You should be careful with them that you still have whole pieces.
  4. When the point is reached and everything is caramelized, pour in the rum and remove the pan from the stove. Light the rum, doing this carefully from a safe distance. The flame then becomes smaller by itself and goes out.
  5. Now let it cool down a bit and place it on plates in the middle while still warm. On top of this comes a scoop of vanilla ice cream, this amount is enough for four desserts.
