Mix all dry ingredients. Stir in the applesauce. Mix oil and water and stir in quickly. Now mix in approx. 150 - 200 g of fruit (e.g. blueberries, pieces of apple, ) or pieces of chocolate, nuts, spices (cinnamon, vanilla, ) etc. as desired.
Pour the batter into muffin cups. Depending on the amount of other ingredients, the batter is enough for 9-12 muffins. Bake at 180 ° C (convection) for approx. 20 - 25 minutes.
The muffins are loosened up by the mineral water and baking powder and the binding comes from the applesauce - so you can`t leave that out (you can`t really taste it).
