Instructions

  1. The evening before, grind the 6-grain mixture. If you don`t have a grain mill, you can simply use a hand coffee grinder like the one known from the Räuber Hotzenplotz.
  2. Soak the meal in enough water until it is completely covered with water. Cover the meal and let it swell overnight at room temperature, but for at least 6 hours. The following applies: the shorter the soaking time, the more pithy the fresh-grain porridge and the longer the soaking time, the softer the fresh-grain porridge.
  3. The next morning add the raisins and sunflower seeds to the soaked grist.
  4. Wash the apple and the carrot. If it is a young organic carrot, there is no need to peel the carrot. Roughly grate the carrot and half an apple with the peel, drizzle with the lemon juice and also add to the grist. Cut the other half of the apple into bite-sized pieces and add. Finally add the soy cream and mix everything well.
  5. If you like, you can also sweeten the fresh grain porridge with a little agave syrup or stevia.
  6. However, I do not additionally sweeten the fresh-grain porridge, as in my opinion the intrinsic sweetness of the raisins and apples are sufficient.
