Instructions

  1. Peel the apples, cut out the core and cut the apples into slices about 1/2 cm thick. Sprinkle with a little sugar in a bowl and pour liqueur over it. Let it steep for about 1/2 hour. In the meantime, stir together the egg yolk, flour, cooled butter, 1 tablespoon of sugar and a pinch of salt for the dough. Add brandy and mix with enough milk to form a semi-liquid batter. Let the dough rest at room temperature for approx. 30 minutes, stir again before using.
  2. Drain the apple rings, dip them in the batter, lift them out in portions and fry them until golden brown on both sides in a large pan with very hot oil. Lift out and place on Zewa to drain. Keep warm until all rings are deep fried. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar to taste.
  3. Insider tip: Vanilla ice cream is very tasty with it!
