- 600 g apples
- 50 grams sugar
- 125 g flour
- 20 g butter, melted
- 2 egg yolks, whisked
- 4 tablespoon liqueur
- 100 ml milk or beer
- 1 tablespoon brandy
- Oil, for deep-frying
- salt

- Peel the apples, cut out the core and cut the apples into slices about 1/2 cm thick. Sprinkle with a little sugar in a bowl and pour liqueur over it. Let it steep for about 1/2 hour. In the meantime, stir together the egg yolk, flour, cooled butter, 1 tablespoon of sugar and a pinch of salt for the dough. Add brandy and mix with enough milk to form a semi-liquid batter. Let the dough rest at room temperature for approx. 30 minutes, stir again before using.
- Drain the apple rings, dip them in the batter, lift them out in portions and fry them until golden brown on both sides in a large pan with very hot oil. Lift out and place on Zewa to drain. Keep warm until all rings are deep fried. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar to taste.
- Insider tip: Vanilla ice cream is very tasty with it!
