Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the onion and garlic and sauté in 1 tablespoon of hot oil. Add the spinach without defrosting and pour in 100 ml of water. Cover and cook over medium heat for about a quarter of an hour.
  2. Cut the feta cheese into four equal-sized slices. For the breading, mix the breadcrumbs and thyme and whisk the egg. Turn the feta in the egg, then in the breading and fry in 1 tablespoon of oil on each side for 3 - 4 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Clean, wash and dice tomatoes, add to the spinach approx. 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Season the spinach with salt, pepper and nutmeg and serve with the feta.
  4. If you want, you can sprinkle roasted pine nuts on top. Flatbread tastes good with it.
