With the onset of the season, young potatoes become a frequent guest on our tables. Small young potatoes are perfect for frying because when they are fried, they acquire a delicious golden-brown crust and retain their shape well. And if you fry young potatoes with the addition of butter and sprinkle with cheese, you get a wonderful dish.
Peel off the thin skin from the potatoes with a sponge or knife. Wash the peeled potatoes and dry them a little.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and put potatoes in 1 layer. Then cover the pan with a lid, reduce the heat and fry the young potatoes over low heat for 7-10 minutes.
After that, add butter to the potatoes.
Turn the potatoes over to the other side, cover the pan with a lid again and continue to fry for another 7-10 minutes.
Grate hard cheese on a medium grater.
Sprinkle the finished potatoes with grated cheese and salt a little. If the cheese is salty, then a salt may not be required. Cover the pan with a lid for 1 minute to melt the cheese.
