Peel the ginger tuber, cut into thin slices (the more thin slices, the more surface area, the more active ingredients are released and the stronger the taste) and place in a teapot. Then bring the water to the boil, add the washed and slightly chopped peppermint and simmer for a few minutes, then pour over the ginger slices. Let the tea steep for at least 10 minutes. You can also let it steep for 15-20 minutes. The longer it brews, the stronger it becomes in the taste. Then sweeten with white sugar, cane sugar, rock candy or honey, but it also tastes very good unsweetened.
Tip:
Instead of peppermint, you can also add cinnamon and coriander, or just water and lemon.
