Peel the apples and cut into small cubes (approx. 1 - 2 cm). Put in a saucepan and bring to the boil with a little water (approx. 1 - 2 tablespoon). Add the cinnamon, salt, sugar and lemon juice after about 10 minutes.
Then process with a potato masher into a paste-like mass. Simmer on medium heat for another 20 minutes.
