Peel and core the pumpkin and cut into pleasant cubes. Fry the pumpkin cubes vigorously in a pan with a little olive oil.
Cut the mozzarella into cubes of the same size. Pluck the basil leaves, wash them and dry them well in a kitchen towel or paper towel, then cut them into small pieces.
Bring a large pot of water to the boil, lightly salt the cooking water and cook the gnocchi until cooked. The gnocchi swim up when they are done.
Drain and drain the gnocchi and place in a large bowl. Add mozzarella, basil and warm pumpkin pieces. Season to taste with 2 - 3 tablespoons of oil, balsamic or balsamic cream and salt and pepper, mix well and serve.
