Mix the ingredients for the dough well and then chill.
Now peel, core and grate the apples. We prefer the cake when the apples are finely grated. Now mix the cinnamon, sugar and rum with the grated apples.
Grease the cake pan (26 mm) and line it with approx. 2/3 of the dough (pull up an edge of approx. 3 cm). Then distribute the grated apples on top and then cover with the remaining 1/3 of the batter (works best if you roll the batter out between 2 cling films.
Bake the cake at 170 ° C for about 35 - 45 minutes.
After the cake has cooled down a bit. Brush with a topping of powdered sugar and rum.
If the apple pie is still warm, a scoop of vanilla ice cream tastes delicious.
