Crumble the yeast cube and dissolve it in a cup of lukewarm water. Cut the cheese and onions into 1 cm cubes.
Put the flour, cheese, onions and salt in a large bowl and then add the dissolved yeast. Mix by hand or with a dough hook and gradually add the rest of the water until the dough is still firm (it is better to use a little less water).
Let the finished dough rise for about an hour in a warm place (e.g. at 40 - 50 ° Celsius in the oven). Then knead again and place on a baking sheet with baking paper (for me it usually has a flat cake shape). In addition, place a container with water in the oven. Bake at 200 ° C (top and bottom heat) for about an hour.
Immediately remove the bread from the baking sheet after baking and let it cool on a baking rack (air from below), otherwise it will sweat too much and become mushy.
Serve the bread with herb and / or tomato butter and look forward to satisfied guests.
