Cut off the woody ends of the asparagus and, depending on the thickness of the asparagus stalks, wrap 3 or 4 each in a slice of bacon.
Put these parcels in the hot pan and fry all over so that the bacon takes its color, then reduce the heat and continue to fry for about 10 minutes until the asparagus is done but still firm to the bite. Finally, season with a little pepper and herbs and serve.
