Instructions

  1. Cover the coarse green spelled meal with water and soak for 2 or more hours. Thaw the spinach.
  2. Steam the finely chopped onion with a little oil and the garlic until translucent, then add the fine green spelled grist and roast a little until it smells fragrant. Pour soaked, washed, coarse green spelled meal, vegetable stock cubes and water and simmer for 25 - 30 minutes. If necessary, add more water in between.
  3. As soon as the green spelled is done, add the spinach, cook into a sauce, do not let it burn, simmer gently. Remove from heat, season with pesto and parmesan. If necessary, season with milk or cream and add salt.
  4. Tastes great as a lasagne sauce, with spaghetti and penne.
  5. For a vegan variant, replace the corresponding products with vegan ones.
