- Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, mix with water, syrup and butter. Heat and stir until the chocolate sauce has a homogeneous, thick consistency.
- Peel and quarter the pears and core. Place on the grid and simmer on all sides for 2-3 minutes.
- Arrange the pears on plates, pour the chocolate sauce over them and sprinkle with the flaked almonds.
- It becomes even more substantial with a tablespoon of thick cream or ice cream.
