Put the sugar with the lukewarm water and the yeast in a bowl. Let rise for about 10 minutes in a warm place.
Knead the flour with the olive oil and the yeast-water-sugar mixture slowly in the food processor or with your hands.
Add a little salt. Place in a bowl coated with olive oil, cover with a cloth and let rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place until it has approximately doubled in volume.
Then knead the dough again briefly and divide 10-12 pieces. Roll out each piece about 1/2 cm wide flatbreads. Let the flatbreads rise for another 20 minutes and then grill them on the grill over medium heat for about 2 - 3 minutes per side.
The bread tastes best fresh and is excellent for dipping barbecue sauces.
