Peel the potato, cut into cubes, cut the ham into small cubes and the onion into thin rings. Sauté the diced ham and onion rings in the lard, add the diced potatoes, salt, savory and lovage and fill up with the water with the instant stock so that the potatoes are just covered. Be careful when salting, as the broth and ham already contain salt. Simmer everything for about 15 minutes and then add the beans.
