- Mix the soft butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs until frothy, add a pinch of salt.
- Mix and sift the flour and baking powder and gradually stir in with the ground almonds. Stir in rum and, if necessary, some water.
- The dough should not be thin, but rather stay a little firmer.
- Bake spoon by spoon in a waffle iron until golden.
- After cooling down, the hearts can be separated from each other
- and keep in a biscuit tin, or, sprinkled with powdered sugar, enjoy immediately.
