Mix the yeast in the buttermilk with the honey. Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl and add the yeast milk. Knead everything into a smooth dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes.
Knead the dough again and then divide it into 16 pieces and form rolls out of it. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Brush the bread roll with the egg yolk and milk mixture before baking. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes.
TIP:
Instead of herbs, you can also use another ingredient, e.g. chopped nuts.
