Herring Spread with Beetroot and Cream Cheese Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients. Remove the butter from the refrigerator beforehand to soften.

  2. Cover the beets in a saucepan or stewpan with water. Boil the beets until tender, about 1 hour. Check the readiness of the beets with a fork. When pierced, the fork should slide easily into the vegetable. Remove the finished beets from the broth and cool.
  3. Coarsely chop the herring fillet and melted cheese.
  4. Peel the beets and grate on a coarse grater.
  5. Combine cheese, herring, beetroot and soft butter in a blender bowl. Add salt and black pepper.
  6. Grind the ingredients with a blender. The mass should become pasty.
