Quarter the cabbage, cut out the stalk, cut into 1/2 cm thick strips, wash and drain.
Finely dice the bacon, drain it in oil, fry the chopped onions in it until golden, then add the cabbage and cook for 5 minutes while stirring. Fill up with 2 cups of water, add the potatoes cut into fine cubes and cook for approx. 30 minutes over low heat. Season sweet and sour with pepper, salt, sugar and vinegar.
