Instructions

  1. Roast the ham cubes with the finely chopped onion and 1 teaspoon sugar in the olive oil. Now deglaze with the thyme, basil, the finely chopped garlic clove and the chopped tomatoes or the homemade tomato puree, add water and bring everything to the boil. Add the cream and heat, do not boil any more. Season to taste with pepper and salt. Divide the finished soup into plates and serve with roasted white bread cubes, the mozzarella, cut into small pieces, and basil leaves.
