Grate the garlic and onions or put them through the blender or chop them very finely and mix with the other ingredients and, very importantly, let them steep overnight.
Cook jacket potatoes the next day.
Season the quark again to taste and possibly stir in a little more milk if it is too firm.
Break open the hot potatoes, add flakes of butter or linseed oil and serve with the quark.
A light, simple tuna salad or bismarck herring goes well with it. The dish also tastes very good without any other side dishes.
