A refreshing jelly with melon pieces made from a small number of ingredients – a godsend for hot summer days! Minimum cooking, natural composition, and tempting taste are a great reason to prepare this delicacy and pamper yourself and your family!
Pour 50 ml of cold water over instant gelatin, stir and leave for 15-20 minutes to swell.
Peel and seed the melon and cut into 1 x 1 cm pieces.
Place the melon slices in a saucepan or small saucepan. Add 120 g sugar and citric acid.
Pour in water.
Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and taste the resulting syrup. Add more sugar to taste, if necessary.
Remove the melon pieces with a slotted spoon and place them in a separate container. Add gelatin to the hot syrup and stir well until it is completely dissolved. Cool the mixture slightly.
Divide the melon slices evenly into the serving tins or glasses. Pour in gelatin syrup. Cool the dessert to room temperature, and then place in the refrigerator for another 2.5-3 hours for final solidification.
Melon jelly is ready. Garnish each portion of dessert with mint leaves if desired and serve.
