Wash the pork knuckle and place in a large saucepan with all the ingredients (including the sauerkraut), fill with water until the meat is covered. Now cook over medium heat for about 2 hours. When the meat is tender, arrange the broth with sauerkraut on a deep plate.
Boiled potatoes that I put on the plate also taste good.
The meat is served on a separate plate and everyone can eat the meat as they wish.
