Preheat the oven to 175 ° C top / bottom heat. Melt the butter in an oven-safe pan over medium heat. Stir in the sugar with the peanut butter. Take the pan off the heat and let it cool slightly.
Then quickly add the egg and stir in well. Add the flour, baking soda and salt and stir gently with a wooden spoon until everything is well mixed. Fold in the walnuts and chocolate or simply sprinkle over them and press in lightly.
Place the pan with the batter in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes. When the giant biscuit is lightly browned, it`s done. Like most cookies, it should definitely be a bit soft in the middle, because it becomes even firmer when it cools down.
Vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce topping go perfectly with this biscuit.
Tip: Instead of walnuts and chocolate drops, cranberries, almonds, coconut, pistachios and smarties can also be added or sprinkled on top. Depending on your wishes, it`s your giant chocolate chip cookie after all.
