Put the black tea in a tea infuser. Bring the water to a boil and place in a heat-resistant container. Hang in the tea infuser. Let the black tea steep for at least 3 minutes. Or, depending on your taste, longer.
In the meantime, squeeze the lemons or - for the lazy - add lemon juice to a carafe. If using squeezed lemons, let the juice run through a tea strainer. Unhook the tea infuser after the desired brewing time. Now sweeten the still hot black tea with a sweetener. When using stevia tablets, be sure to use a good variety, as almost all varieties have a more or less strong liquorice taste of their own. A mixture of ½ stevia and ½ cyclamate / aspartame has also proven itself.
After the sweetener has dissolved, pour in the ice cubes and let them melt. Effect: The drink is pre-chilled and diluted ready for consumption. Pour the sweetened and pre-chilled black tea into the carafe with the lemon juice.
Cool in the refrigerator until later serving or serve directly with additional ice cubes and a slice of lemon on the edge.
