Remove only the outermost peel from the fruit (without the whites, works best with a cucumber peeler), squeeze 2 fruits and cover the juice with the peel, alcohol and vodka for approx. 3 weeks in a cool and dark place.
Then remove the peel from the alcohol (set the alcohol aside) and bring to the boil with the water, the juice of a lemon or orange and the sugar until the sugar has dissolved. Cover this sugar-water-juice-peel mixture and let it steep again in a cool place for 2 weeks.
Then remove the pods, filter, mix with the alcohol and fill into bottles. Store in a cool place!
Tip: serve cold limoncello or orangello on ice cubes before or after eating.
