Instructions

  1. Fry the gyros meat in oil or margarine in a pan. Add the tzatziki and the processed cheese. When everything is creamy, add the chopped peppers. Simmer on low heat until the pepper pieces have the desired consistency.
  2. Turn off the stove, add the halved tomatoes and stir in once.
  3. Tip: Serve the non-low-carb variant with rice. However, this will require more sauce. Here you could possibly add more processed cheese or extra cream.
  4. Note: Not all seasoned gyros are low-carb. Please pay attention to this when purchasing. Of course, you can also buy shredded meat and make the marinade yourself.
  5. The recipe is designed for two good eaters.
