- Put the oat flakes in a saucepan with the water, a pinch of salt and a pinch of cinnamon and bring to the boil. Stir every now and then.
- In the meantime, chop the walnut kernels as needed.
- When the porridge is boiling, take the saucepan off the heat, stir in the walnuts and let stand covered for about 5 minutes. Stir every now and then.
- Peel the banana, cut into small pieces and stir in together with 1 - 2 tablespoons of maple syrup (more to taste) at the end.
- The amount makes about 2 large servings or 4 rather small ones.
