Put the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar and baking powder in a bowl and mix together. Finely dice the marzipan and add to the flour-sugar mixture with the egg, butter (or margarine) and amaretto. Process the whole thing with the hand mixer for a few minutes to a smooth, shiny dough.
Preheat a waffle iron and fry the batter (teaspoon by teaspoon). Remove the finished biscuits from the iron with a wooden spatula or similar and let them cool down well so that the biscuits get the right bite.
